It's funny...Yeah, I think Fran Kranz is great. It's funny that so many people hated Topher early into Dollhouse's run, but when you go back and rewatch the first season there are alot of interesting layers to him. His arc in season 2 is one of my favorites.Antonio Whiteheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04683849518766835378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2395748504986705619.post-48963113158538186302013-11-14T20:31:05.927-05:002013-11-14T20:31:05.927-05:00Personally, Dollhouse is my favorite of Joss Whedo...Personally, Dollhouse is my favorite of Joss Whedon's TV series. Don't get me wrong, I've been a huge Buffy and Angel fan for as long as I remember, and really enjoyed Firefly (although it is my least favorite of his works...), but I felt Dollhouse had so much more to offer. I think it's a tragedy that it was cancelled so early, as I feel that the second season is so rushed, but I feel it has such a good story and plot that can keep you truly interested throuhg the entire series.

Then again. Fran Kranz. Need I say more? He's amazing.Michele Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03293326472355327138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2395748504986705619.post-64492589279204447472013-09-27T08:47:59.317-04:002013-09-27T08:47:59.317-04:00The Sopranos is my favorite show of all time, sill...The Sopranos is my favorite show of all time, silly. Mad Men is my favorite show that's currently running.

Technically yeah, you're supposed to watch season 4 of Buffy and season 1 of Angel concurrently, but I don't think it's essential. Very small plot points intersect only once or twice a season. I think it's a bad idea to watch Angel first (because the crossovers on Angel spoil things that happen on Buffy) but you're fine if you watch Buffy first (because the crossovers on Buffy don't really tell you anything that happens on Angel).

The bad rap that Dollhouse gets is really unwarranted. I think it took people a while to get used to the fact that it wasn't as "fun" as his other shows, but like I said above, it has some pretty crazy highs. Also Amy Acker is in it (she's in Angel too).

Much Ado About Nothing will put a gigantic smile on your face. It's so lovely.

And just in case you don't see my response to the Firefly vs. Angel vs. Dollhouse thing in the other post: I clearly say in this article "...but what elevates it to number 3 status is its movie, Serenity." Firefly is my least favorite Whedon show, but I like Serenity so much that when you put them together, it edges out Dollhouse and Angel.Antonio Whiteheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04683849518766835378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2395748504986705619.post-36371870670127002302013-09-27T03:07:20.878-04:002013-09-27T03:07:20.878-04:00And just to clarify, your favorite TV show of all ...And just to clarify, your favorite TV show of all time is Mad Men?Dexteroushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00209492147020176188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2395748504986705619.post-73488790688617483132013-09-27T03:03:33.258-04:002013-09-27T03:03:33.258-04:008. Much Ado About Nothing (2013)
Wait wait wait.....8. Much Ado About Nothing (2013)

Wait wait wait...

Amy Acker, who I'm currently COMPLETELY in love with due to Person of Interest?

Nathan Fillion, NOT on Castle?

Even Clark Gregg??

HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF THIS?

I'm watching this tonight.

7. Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (2008)

Never seen this, its on my Netflix queue now; I've known about it for a long time, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

6. Angel (1999-2004)

Still haven't seen either of these, and I imagine it'll be a while until I get to this one (unless I'm supposed to start watching it after season 3 of Buffy at the same time or something?).

5. Dollhouse (2009-2010)

Hey, its that guy from Cabin in the Woods and that other guy from 24! Haven't gotten around to seeing this one mainly due to (as you acknowledged) bad press, but I'm glad to hear that it's not as bad as I've heard. Definitely going to check this one out (probably before Buffy and Angel since its so much shorter).

4. The Avengers (2012)

Saw it 3 times in theaters, and own it on bluray currently. And Whedon's presence was definitely felt, especially during the argument on the carrier when Loki's in prison.

3. Firefly/Serenity (2002, 2005)

My first exposure to Whedon and it definitely had an impact. Just like you, I was late to the party, but I joined the fanbase quickly. And Serenity is amazing, such a great film that takes risks with it's characters and even brings in a huge plot point for the plot twist to show that it's not a side story. I recommend it to everyone I can (as you saw earlier today) and it never ceases to amaze me.

2. The Cabin in the Woods (2012)

Ridiculously enjoyable and ridiculously surprising, I loved this movie. And when only one of all those other monsters on that board was chosen, I was disappointed because I thought that meant we would never see any of the others.

But then those elevators open around the soldiers and EVERYTHING GOES FUCKING INSANE! By far the best third act I've seen in a long time.

1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003)

Between Eric and his Buffy bell, and your constant touting, clearly this is priority television. I'm holding off because I know it's long, but I'm definitely diving in at some point (After Vikings [recently recommended to me], Sherlock and Dollhouse probably).
